BISMIL TRADING & TAILORING, established in 1994, proudly maintains its status as a Papua New Guinea- registered company. We stand as the longest-established uniform manufacturer and supplier in PNG. Our commitment to quality and excellence is reflected in our diverse range of brands: WORKMAN, RIKKIZ, and H&A for Workwear, corporate wear, and Polos/Round Neck T-shirts respectively. Moreover, under the Bismil brand, we offer a comprehensive selection of uniforms. Bismil commenced its journey as a small-scale uniform and clothing manufacturer in Port Moresby in 1994. Since then, we have evolved into a substantial enterprise, renowned for delivering products of exceptional quality, competitive pricing, and unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction.

1994-General Operations
Bismil’s sewing factory at Six-Mile in the National Capital District manufactures uniforms for small and medium-sized requirements. We also have agreements with factories in China and Sri Lanka to fulfill large-scale requirements and have logistical offices in Australia, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. All our products are tested and comply with AS/ZNS and CE standards.2006: A Year of Major Transformation Following Ownership Change
Bismil is managed by its CEO, Mr. Ikram Sahabdeen, who has worked with Bismil since 1999, bringing extensive experience in manufacturing and sourcing high-quality products while ensuring customer satisfaction. After an ownership changeover in 2006, significant growth and expansion occurred, and a restructuring plan was implemented. We recruited a number of skilled experts in management, sales, graphic design, tailoring, embroidery and sewing machinery mechanics. This led to the training of over 80 Papua New Guinean staff, including seamstresses, screen printers, embroidery specialists, administration, sales, and delivery staff. The total staff strength increased from 30 in 2006 to 80, and it continues to grow.
2008: The Launch of the Workman Brand: A New Era Begin
2012-Lae Branch
In 2012, Bismil opened its first branch in Lae to cater to the city’s needs. Lae is PNG’s largest industrial city and is strategically connected to the Highlands. With our Lae branch, we serve Morobe and all Highland provinces.
2015: Ascending to the Forefront as the Premier Distributor of Safety Jogger Boots
Bismil serves as the leading distributor of SAFETY JOGGER safety boots in Papua New Guinea. Globally recognized for their excellence, these safety boots are among the best available. Our supplier consistently maintains a stock of over a million pairs, enabling Bismil to ensure a healthy stock level at all times and fulfill orders promptly.
2019-25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee Celebration
In December 2019, Bismil proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary at Dunasty Restaurant in Port Moresby. It was a great get-together with our top customers. Bismil also provided promotional items such as T-shirts, caps, wall clocks, mugs, and umbrellas to our customers.
2022: Unveiling Excellence – The Launch of Rikkiz and the Corporate Showroom
Embroidery, Graphic Design, and Direct to Film (DTF) & Sublimation Printing
Bismil boasts an in-house embroidery facility equipped with embroidery equipment from Japan (Tajima), featuring multiple embroidery heads working simultaneously. We proudly declare ourselves as the largest embroidery facility in PNG. Additionally, our printing services provide silk screen printing, heat transfer printing, and we have introduced industrial direct-to-film (DTF) and sublimation printing services, expediting manufacturing and delivery processes. Moreover, our graphic design service offers free artwork and designing, further enhancing our comprehensive range of offerings.
Stock
Maintaining a high level of stock is one of Bismil’s major strengths. We keep stock of corporate clothing, caps, workwear, security uniforms, and safety items, enabling us to supply products immediately or in a very short period of time.
